Kaukauna area historical society

The City of Kaukauna has been a gathering spot on the Fox River for centuries. Native Americans originally settled the area as the 50 feet river drop made it a natural portage and resting spot on the Fox River after a days journey north or south. Today more than 16,000 residents call Kaukauna home and appreciate its rich history and natural diversity.
